MUST WATCH MOVIE OF THE FRIGGIN YEAR

Nice teaser poster. Adds a bit drama in to it. Me likey!
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows!!!!!
Gue jadi penggemar HP udah sejak TK, basically. And talking about the films, gue udah nonton semuanya berkali-kali. Sorcerer's Stone was a good start, but not mindblowing enough. Chamber of Secrets buat gue agak bland, I think it shouldve been better. Prisoner of Azkaban was my best until Deathly Hallows, the film was just great..... And then came Goblet of Fire dan Order of the Phoenix. Okay I get it its a real challenge adapting a 700 page novel into a 2 hour movie but for God's sake, it was a huge disappointment. I mean, di Goblet of Fire, how can you not put the Bagman-Crouch and SPEW story?? That is just ridiculous. Order of The Phoenix, it was BLAH. Forgettable. But then hope rises waktu Half-Blood Prince keluar. Finally, I was assuring myself that HP wont be as trashy as Twilight. Dan akhirnya, dua minggu lalu gue nonton Deathly Hallows...
- I was this much close to crying at the Dobby scene. It was so real, yet so sad. Like really, my eyes went all poofy and was about to burst in any second.
- Snape is getting better better better better and better uhhhhh. He is so evil DAYUMMMMM.
- Deathly Hallows has the best humor of all HP films. Ministry scene really cracked me up.
- Loved the detail in the film. I mean, they filmmakers finally stayed with the book all along
- EMMA WATSON IS DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!!!
- The film would've been better in 3D.
SO, HEYALL NIGGAS GO TO YO CINEMAS N-O-W AND WATCH DEATHLY HALLOWS OR ELSE LORD VOLDEMORT'S GONNA SNATCH' YO MUGGLES UP.

Fabulous van der Woodsen!

Blake Lively in Marchesa tribal-printed frock dress.
Saw E!'s Fashion Police a few days ago and saw Blake in this Marchesa frock dress at the Fashion Night Out Event in NYC. Damn, this look is just the cutest thing! Great choice of her; the dress fun, edgy, chic, but yet appropriate for the event. Topped up with a natural-shade makeup and a ponytail. Not so hyped about the shoes though, I don't think the black pumps are the right shoes to wear with the dress, I mean, come on Blake you can do better than that. But I'm still loving this look, even I like it better than Jessica Alba at the Machete premiere, whose dress I adore much. You nailed it again, Serena!

The girl and her memory.
Today is 11th September 2010.
I will tell you a tale. A flashback tale.
This story tells you about a girl. And her memory, 9 years from today.
10 September, 2001.
It was another ordinary day. She was sitting in the living room with her family, having their daily-dose of Full House; apparently they just can't get enough of the Olsen twins. And let's not forget the hunky Stamos. Her father grabs the remote, and switched the channel to CNN. CNN was nothing but Bush. Yeah, they have other news, but Bush was the star. He was like Snooki; being all over the headlines. Of course without the Jersey accent and the poofy hair. But even with all the hot scoop about Bush, America was doing just fine.
It was getting late, and it's time for the girl to go to bed. She went to her room, cuddle herself in her favorite quilt, got a good-night kiss from her parents, and said to herself,
"I hope tomorrow will be a great day."
and then she fell asleep.
11 September 2001
Rise and shine. She woke up at 6 in the morning. She thought it would be another ordinary day. But what she haven't realized at that time, is what will happen in the next few hours.
It was a usual sunny day. People were walking down the pavements, strolling with their cute dogs. Some were rushing to catch the subway. Some were having their daily McDonald's breakfast. There was nothing different that morning. Boston is a rather calm and quiet city, compared to the busy NYC. She was getting ready to go to school. She grabbed her scooter and drove it to her school. After awhile, she arrived at her school, and ran to her class, ready to start the day.
At 09.00 A.M, Ms. Kathy, her teacher, spoke. "Kids, the World Trade Center just been hit by a hijacked-plane."

And I forgot the rest of the story.
Yes, 11th September was no ordinary day. America got it's wake up call that day.
It was a national disaster. Although Boston is miles miles away from NYC, the pain hit the whole nation. What psycho had ever guessed that some plane would actually HIT, STRUCK, CRASH INTO the twin towers? Americans were left jaw-dropped. She remembered the chaotic situation clearly in her mind, like it just happened yesterday. All channels were broadcasting live from the crash site. Every videos, pictures, every footage of the crash were aired across the country. Again, again, and again. The whole nation saw, how the firefighters struggled, and by I mean struggled is trying to turn down a huge fire on not just one, but two 110-floored skyscrapers. How people were crying, screaming, burning, effortless, in need of help... You see those painful images every second. Again, again, and again. Imagine yourself, watching people, burning into ashes, but can only sit and watch, while your heart is eager to help?
The fire went down the next day. People started to find their families and relatives, seeking every single information they could find. Bodies were scattered everywhere. Parts, rubbles, remains of the building were all over the street. The usually alive and energetic city became a sad, black, and gloomy city. NYC was the city of hell.

(In the girl's point of view.)
A week after the 9/11, America started to recover. The government started to made speeches, announcements regarding the accident. About 3.000 people were killed that day. After the disaster, Bush declared war against Al-Qaeda. Americans unite to stop this thing called terrorism.
Americans was in such trauma. They became very sensitive about Muslims, and also Muslim countries. My family were one of those unlucky people. Before 9/11, everything was just smooth sailing, but afterwards, Americans was just so paranoid, and suddenly their behavior towards people like us became very different. The accident really changed the way American's think. I had those discrimination times. I tried to understand, because if I were in their position, I'd probably done the same thing. But since that tragedy, living in America felt hard, you know. Try living in a country where people thinks that 'Muslim=terrorism'. Try living in a country where your religion is hated. Believe me, it's hard.
It's amazing, how a tragedy could change the whole nation's way of thinking.
It's amazing, how a tragedy could unite the nation in a different way.
It's amazing, how a tragedy could force us to learn more.
It's amazing, how a tragedy changes the world.
11th September 2001.

A come-back
Look who's back.
ME!
Maintaining a blog is HARD. REAL HARD. Believe me. Okay, maybe not really... For some people, it's a piece of cake, sitting in front of their laptops, writing two or three or a bunch of paragraphs about their typical extraordinary day. But for me, HELL NO! This is as hard as playing your first game of solitaire, people!
Until, my good old friend Aditya Adinata posted a tweet.
@anggita23 I've been waiting for u to update ur blog for so long. I'm ur biggest fan. #UnyuMoment
I fell into tears. Nope, just making that up. And I know it's not funny at all.
But really, I'm surprised. The "OMG, for real?" kind of surprised. Never thought this blog actually had readers, readers like him who's blog I adore much. I sat for a few minutes, thinking. And then I smirk. A proud smirk.
"I'm so gonna continue this blog"
Cheers,
Ang.
PS: Adit is on the market.
